FIVA™Flow is a fluid intravenous alert device that prevents IV fluid systems from going dry unnoticed. FIVA™Flow is intended for use with gravity-fed IV bags under normal clinical use.

The Class I medical device prevents IV fluid systems from going dry unnoticed. This means patients aren’t getting the fluids or medication they need and are exposed to risks, such as air embolism.

FIVA™Flow solves this problem in 3 steps:

1. Detect empty IV fluid bags;
2. Pinch the IV line, stopping the flow of fluid to prevent air from entering the line;
3. Alert clinicians that the bag needs to be changed

FIVA™Flow also displays the flow rate and the total volume, allowing clinicians to save time during infusion set up.
