TRACOE’s phon assist I is used by tracheostomised patients and offers new therapeutic options due to the infinitely adaptable airway resistance. The phon assist II makes it possible for laryngectomised patients with a voice prosthesis and tracheostomised patients to speak hands-free. Both versions are individually adjustable.  The valve has a silicone membrane with a fast occlusion time (25 ms) and side openings to adjust the air flow resistance individually. It is for single patient use and can be attached to the 15 mm connector of any tracheostomy tube (preferably fenestrated) without cuff or with completely deflated cuff.
