NEOMED Nasogastric/Orogastric Feeding Tubes

Safe nutrition for the most fragile patients: Precision markings and secure connections you can trust.

These specialized feeding tubes are engineered to meet the unique anatomical and nutritional requirements of premature and critically ill infants. Featuring smooth, rounded tips and clear depth markings, they ensure accurate placement while maintaining compatibility with the ENFit safety standard.

Vertical Integration:
End-to-end control of design, manufacturing and distribution of our healthcare devices and supplies

Supply Chain Reliability:
A robust network with 4 distribution centres ensures resilient operation and inventory security.

Regulatory Expertise:
We follow North American compliance
and clinical standards.

The Challenge:
Traditional enteral feeding systems carry the risk of dangerous tubing misconnections, especially in high-stress NICU and pediatric environments. Additionally, standard tubes often lack the precise markings or the specialized materials required to protect a newborn’s delicate gastrointestinal tract and sensitive skin.

The Solution:
NeoMed Enteral Feeding Tubes are engineered specifically for neonatal and pediatric patients. Featuring specialized hub connections (like standard ENFit® compliance) that physically prevent wrong-route delivery, these polyurethane or silicone tubes provide clear, dual-graduated length markings and an open hub design to maximize flow and ensure safe, precise nutrition from day one.

  • Unlike standard tubes that are simply scaled down, NeoMed tubes are engineered specifically for neonatal and pediatric patients. They feature specialized materials (like medical-grade polyurethane or silicone) that protect fragile tissue, explicit 1 cm length markings to ensure precise placement, and design elements that optimize the delivery of dense nutrition like breastmilk and fortified formula.

  • NeoMed tubes utilize the ENFit® connection standard (or specialized enteral hubs), which are physically incompatible with IV luer locks, traches, and other non-enteral devices. This structural design ensures that medications and nutrition can only be delivered into the gastrointestinal tract, virtually eliminating the risk of accidental wrong-route delivery in high-stress NICU environments.

  • NeoMed’s enteral hubs feature a smooth, open internal geometry that eliminates dead space where thick nutrition or medication can pool. This unique design prevents clogging, minimizes the shearing of delicate nutrients during delivery, and maximizes fluid flow, which is critical when working with very small French sizes.

  • Yes. NeoMed offers both polyurethane and silicone tube options, both of which are designed for extended indwelling use (up to 30 days, subject to hospital protocol). These materials do not stiffen or degrade when exposed to gastric acid, reducing the frequency of traumatic tube replacements for vulnerable infants.

  • No. All NeoMed feeding tubes are strictly DEHP-free and latex-free. This ensures that developing, highly sensitive neonates are not exposed to potentially toxic phthalate plasticizers during their course of care.

Materials

NeoMed tubes are available in three distinct base materials, depending on clinical requirements and required indwell time:

  • Polyurethane (PUR): Designed for extended placement (validated for up to 30 days). Polyurethane offers thin, durable walls that maximize the internal lumen diameter for smooth fluid flow while remaining structurally rigid enough to prevent collapsing. It softens at body temperature for patient comfort.

  • Silicone (SIL): An ultra-soft, flexible elastomer preferred for highly sensitive or fragile neonates. Also validated for long-term indwelling use (up to 30 days), it resists degradation and stiffening caused by exposure to gastric juices.

  • Polyvinyl Chloride (PVC): Typically utilized for shorter-term, intermittent feeding protocols where a more rigid tube assists with initial placement.

Does not contain Natural Rubber Latex.
