Materials

Stadco patient plastic products are primarily manufactured from high-quality, medical-grade plastics, with polypropylene being the most commonly used material across the line.

Polypropylene is chosen for these clinical supplies because it offers several key advantages:

  • Chemical Resistance: It is highly resistant to degradation from most liquid medications, bodily fluids, and cleaning agents.
  • Safety: The plastics used are typically latex-free and bisphenol-free (BPA-free), making them safe for direct patient contact and short-term medication storage.
  • Durability and Flexibility: It is shatter-resistant and can be molded precisely to include embossed graduations (like on medicine cups) or snap-on features (like on denture cups).

This material composition applies to the majority of their single-use and reusable patient care items, including medicine cups, sitz baths, specimen containers, and denture cups.
