Avanos Initial Placement Kit (IPK)

Redefine the initial placement experience of a gastro-enteral feeding tube in a safe, effective,
and minimally invasive way.

Avanos Initial Placement Kit, including the proprietary T-Fasteners and telescopic dilator, is designed to aid in an efficient initial placement of a balloon-retained feeding tube. Clinical literature reports that placement of MIC* & MIC-KEY* feeding tubes using the Avanos Initial Placement Kit is safe, effective and minimally invasive.

Vertical Integration:
End-to-end control of design, manufacturing and distribution of our healthcare devices and supplies

Supply Chain Reliability:
A robust network with 4 distribution centres ensures reliable operation and inventory security.

Regulatory Expertise:
We follow North American compliance
and clinical standards.

The Problem:

Traditional PEG placements increase infection and tumor-seeding risks by dragging tubes through the oral cavity, and typically saddle patients with bulky devices that require a costly, delayed secondary procedure to exchange.

The Solution:

The Avanos IPK utilizes an outside-in approach to safely place a final, low-profile balloon tube during the initial procedure, bypassing the mouth entirely. This single-step method enhances immediate patient comfort, minimizes infection risks, and eliminates the need for secondary swap-outs.
