Bentec Ventral Wall Defect Silo Bags

Ventral Wall Defect Reduction Silo Bags

The Bentec Silo Bag provides a sutureless approach for staged reductions of congenital ventral wall defects (gastroschisis or omphalocele) in their neonatal patients. They can be placed in the NICU when primary reduction & closure of these defects is not feasible.

Vertical Integration:
End-to-end control of design, manufacturing and distribution of our healthcare devices and supplies

Supply Chain Reliability:
A robust network with 4 distribution centres ensures reliable operation and inventory security.

Regulatory Expertise:
We follow North American compliance
and clinical standards.

The Challenge:

In large gastroschisis and omphalocele cases, primary closure may not be possible because the abdominal cavity is underdeveloped and exposed bowel remains vulnerable to fluid loss, contamination, and pressure-related injury during reduction.

The Solution:

The silicone silo creates a closed protective environment and enables gradual reduction using gravity and manual guidance, while the transparent material supports ongoing bowel visualization and the sutureless design can be applied directly in the NICU when needed.
